ECHOES is a series of four vinyl bootlegs with live and demo material. The first one was put out as a 7” single, while the others - including the present one - were released in 12” format. All of them maintain the same front coverart in different colours. Insofar, see also Echoes Vol 1, Echoes Vol 2, Echoes Vol 4.

An ECHOES CD-series does exist as well but with different content and with a different appearance.

Remarks

This bootleg was issued in several editions.

The original first pressing
has a dark rosé foldout paper cover and black vinyls with plain yellow (orange) labels.

All re-issues show the same cover art as as the original release.
The covers, however, are stable and non-gatefold now, and do have a spine.

The following re-issues have been found so far:

-Black vinyl with Merciful Release logo labels,
although the entire ECHOES-series is not an official Merciful Release.

- Black vinyl with Merciful Release logo labels, same as above but limited to 100 copies,
coming with a booklet in German language and a numbered limited-edition sticker on
the cover front giving the number of the individual copy counting from 0001 to 0100.

- Black vinyl with plain yellow labels, limited to 100 copies, also coming with a booklet
in German language and a limited-edition sticker on the cover front.
NOTE: The stickers of this version are without numbering!

- Black vinyl with plain yellow labels, limited to 100 copies, coming with a booklet
in German language and a numbered limited-edition sticker on the cover front
giving the number of the individual copy counting from 0001 to 0100.

A1 is a demo of Lucretia, My Reflection (wrongly called 'Empire down')

A2 is listed as a "Final Demo '85".

A3 and A4 are listed as "Reptile House Demo '82", whereas A3 is the usual 12" version.

A5 is called "Long Train Demo '84" and actually the usual flexi-disc version.

B1 is a Floodland Demo from 1986.

B3 is listed as "First Demo '81".

B4 is a demo version of Marian from 1985.

B2 & B5 are soundchecks recorded on 27th of May 1984 at the Markthalle in Hamburg, Germany.
