This page is Work in Progress and going to be extended as soon as ever possible |
A 2LP vinyl bootleg that features one of the energetic concerts during Tour Thing 1 in 1990 promoting the then new album Vision Thing.
Back in those days, The Sisters Of Mercy performed three concerts in a row at DOCKS in Hamburg on November 16th, 17th and 18th, 1990. The present 2 LP release presents the concert of the second evening.
Two songs of this concert - Ribbons and Something Fast - can also be found on side B of the 12" When You Don't See Me single .
Release Notes
- Label: The Reptile House Ltd.
- Format: 2 × 12" vinyl LP
- Catalogue#: SM 901 117
- Barcode: 0 71875 579828
- Run out grooves: SM-901117-A to D
- Released: 1991, although the back cover states 1990 as release date
Remarks
- Black vinyls with Merciful Release logo on black background, numbered by letters.
- Copies with plain white and red labels do exist as well.
- For the front cover artwork there was used the band photography form the single Doctor Jeep, which was released in 1991.
- It was probably culled from the poster that comes with the limited 12" single, and for this reason a fine hairline is visible, just where the poster was folded.
- In the track list Alice and Amphetamine Logic are permuted.
- Back cover notes:
- Beside the usual track list, the album title, the name of the interpreter and information about the venue, there are some interesting details:
- - (p) & (c) 1990 The Reptile House Ltd.
- Which is not true. (Disproofed by the cover artwork)
- - A long list of the tour crew (see image on the right).
- We could not approve so far, if these dates are true.
- - The "Reptile House Approved" logo in bad resolucion (see image below in the middle).
- There also exist a box set that contains the two LPs, a concert ticket, an insert sheet, a Heartland magazine and a Vision Thing tour programme.
- According to our information, it appeared the first time in 2012 - 22 years after its original release - on EBAY from a greek seller.
Source
- Contains the complete concert of the 17th of November 1990 at Docks, Hamburg, Germany
- As usual during the Tour Thing 1 the intro of the concert was a playback of the song Afterhours. Although it is not mentioned in the tracklist, the album starts with the last part of this song.
