Crystal Ballroom, Portland, Oregon, USA
The very first show of The Sisters of Mercy in Portland was planned for 1991 during the Tune In, Turn On, Load Out Tour with Public Enemy, Gang of Four and Warrior Soul. But it was not to be and took them until 2006 to have it materialise. But hell, how long ago is that ... ;-) ...
Now, after having played @Crystal Ballroom last year already, they are invited back for a double gig and arrive with a new line-up, more new songs and a series of great shows behind during their currently running Sisters Scar The Planet Edge Tour. The venue has a long history and a capacity of around 1,500. Remarkably, they operate the maybe last functioning mechanical dance floor in the US.
Support act are Blaqk Audio.
Reviews, videos and stuff should (hopefully) arrive here in this thread @The Heartland Forums.
Band / Line-up
- Andrew Eldritch - vocals
- Ben Christo - guitars, backing vocals
- Kai - guitars, backing vocals
- Doktor Avalanche - drums, bass, keyboards
- Chris Catalyst - nurse to The Doktor
