The first gig in Newcastle since the 1980s. As the venue had a very early curfew line, The Sisters of Mercy could not play their usual set. However, they surprised the audience with an astonishing and unprecedented version of Dominion / Mother Russia that was accompanied with the Sandstorm live saxophone intro played by early Psychedelic Furs saxophonist Duncan Kilburn, all immersed in an abundance of dry ice.
