This bootleg is available in various editions and consists of a soundboard recording from

The Sisters of Mercy's gig on 28 August 1983 at the Paradiso in Amsterdam, NL.

At the time, The Sisters were still using their Boss Dr.Rhythm drum machine.

  • Instead of the 28th August 1983, the 28th March 1983 is stated as the recording date.
  • Also, the back cover mentions Wayne Hussey on guitars,
    although he was not yet in the band at that time.

  • In addition, there are plenty mistakes as to the song titles (see Track Lists).
  • The cover art including mistakes is for all editions the same.

Original Editions

  • September Songs edition on black vinyls with yellow September Songs labels
  • September Songs edition on black vinyls with blue September Songs labels
    Here it is not quite clear whether both labels are blue.
    An edition with plain white labels on one of the records is known to exist.
  • Lounging Records edition on black vinyls with red Lounging Records print on black labels

Standard Reissues

  • 2 x black vinyls with plain white labels
  • Northlake edition of 1 x blue and 1 x green vinyl with Northlake labels


Limited Edition Reissues

  • 1 x yellow and 1 x multicoloured vinyl, white labels (extremely rare);
    only two copies are known to exist!
  • 2 x blue vinyls with plain white labels, limited edition of 300 copies;
    partly coming with a red sticker: "Limited Edition on Colored Vinyl"
Possession - with 1 red black splattered and 1 black vinyl
  • Another limited edition of 200 on 2 x multicoloured vinyls
    comes with a yellow hand-numbered sticker on cover front
    and with plain white labels on the vinyls;
  • A similar limited edition of also 200 on 2 x multicoloured vinyls with plain white labels
    does exist as well. Only the stickers are not numbered;
  • There is a third limited edition of alledgedly 200 on 2 x multicoloured vinyls with plain white labels.
    Here, the sticker is numbered again, but record 2 is mostly clear with only a few coloured spots.
    This edition is, in fact, very rare. Only a few got actually pressed.
  • 2 x clear blue vinyls with Northlake labels and run-outs: "Mercy", a limited edition of 300 copies
  • 1 x yellow and 1 x green vinyl with Northlake labels and run-outs: "Mercy". This version does have
    a Limited-Edition sticker, but it is unknown to how many copies it is limited, actually.
  • another alleged limited edition with 1 x red black-splattered and 1 x black vinyl and plane white labels
NOTE: Record 1 of this set (the red black splattered one) happens to have been distributed with the
b/w cover version of Cryptic Flowers more often than only a few times, maybe caused by the fact that
both bootlegs have "MERCY A / MERCY B" run-outs.
