The first gig in Newcastle since the 1980s. As the venue had a very early curfew line, The Sisters of Mercy could not play their usual set. However, they surprised the audience with an astonishing and unprecedented version of Dominion / Mother Russia that was accompanied with the Sandstorm live saxophone intro played by early Psychedelic Furs saxophonist Duncan Kilburn. A snippet of this extraordinary pleasure can be encountered here * with many, many thanks to ruffers...
Opening act like during the whole of the Europe 2023 Tour were The Virginmarys.
