The first gig in Newcastle since the 1980s. As the venue had a very early curfew line, The Sisters of Mercy could not play their usual set, but surprised the audience with an astonishing and unprecedented version of Dominion / Mother Russia accompanied with a live saxophone played by early Psychedelic Furs saxophonist Duncan Kilburn ...
Opening act were The Virginmarys.
