Royal Albert Hall, London, England

  • This is the legendary gig commonly known as "Wake", a name given to it by Andrew Eldritch personally,
no less than four months before it happened. Before the gig Andrew bruised his ribs so he was unable to
move much, but nevertheless he gave an astonishing performance.
  • Originally advertised in the UK music press as "Altamont - A festival of remembrance".
  • The support was a screening of "Koyaanisqatsi" and an organist playing such tracks as "Freebird".

Several bootleg recordings of this show exist, see Live Bootlegs - First And Last And Always era.
In addition, several Video Bootlegs are circulating like Live From The Royal Albert Hall - Floorshow
and Wake - In Concert At The Royal Albert Hall.

The latter is, however a bootleg not to be mixed up with any official release of Wake,
None of these do, however, include all the songs played at the event.
