Jon Langford in 2010


Jon Langford was originally a founding member and the drummer of the Leeds-based band The Mekons,

who were good friend with The Sisters of Mercy.

So, Jon Langford stepped in as a bass player for a few live gigs in 1981 until The Sisters found Craig Adams.

It is a rumour of the old times, that one of The Mekons' lyrics does refer to Andrew Eldritch.
