Analysis
Garden Of Delight was written by Wayne Hussey, for Left On Mission And Revenge, the supposed follow-up Sisters of Mercy album to First And Last And Always.
A demo version with Eldritch singing is relatively widespread, though many believe he sounds as if he is feeling "forced" to sing.
A further demo version with better quality is also available.
Likewise, a demo version with Hussey singing exists as well, and he sounds as if he's putting effort into it.
For some unknown reason the lyrics in both versions, whilst identical for the most part, have certain lines edited.
This may be due to Eldritch's dislike of Hussey's songwriting.
A remade version of Garden Of Delight was later produced by The Mission for their single Like A Hurricane (listen here...),
and an orchestral version, "Garden Of Delight (The Hereafter)" for their album God's Own Medicine.
