Live At Brixton Ace
From SistersWiki.org - The Sisters Of Mercy Fan Wiki
Recorded Live at the Brixton Academy, London, UK on June 29th, 1983
with the classic early Sisters line-up shortly before release of the Temple Of Love / Heartland single in October 1983.
Issued in basically four known editions. The first edition comes in a variety of coloured cover sheets
of the same motive fixed with four pieces of adhesive tape to the otherwise white custom covers:

The Different Editions In Detail
First Edition
- The first edition is available with xeroxed coloured cover sheets
in white, blue, yellow, orange, red and beige tone.
- Certain varieties exist which differ in that some of the xeroxes are A4 in size,
filling only part of the cover front (as in the picture here on the right),
while others are large enough to cover the front almost in full,
(see all the pictures on top of this page).
- Furthermore the smaller A4 xeroxes do not have that half-page high black frame
around the central drawing and list the tracks underneath instead of on the left and right side higher up.
- The backside of all covers of the first release are plain white.
- The vinyls are mostly multicoloured in white, red, blue, yellow. Some are white, yellow, blue, green
or clear, yellow, blue, green. But there are other mixtures, too. And a few black copies do exist as well.
Please see the large collection of pictures down below ...
- Almost all vinyls have plain white labels, sometimes with handwritten notes on them.
There are exceptions, though.
- Apart from all these, an unreleased and unique b/w cover with a multicoloured vinyl has
surfaced recently. The A4 b/w-picture featured on the cover reminds of an actress in a
movie scene. The item was handed over to one of our collectors directly by the manufacturer.
You see the picture of it here on the left.
Second Edition
- The second edition has a green/black cover sheet and comes with blue or clear blue vinyl.
- The tracks are listed on the front cover while the back of the cover is
- as far as we gathered - the same as the one of the third edition.
- Please see the picture up right and those at the bottom of this page.
Third Edition
- The cover of the third edition is a fully printed b/w cover
(see the pictures beside the Track List).
- The vinyls are either clear darkblue or clear transparent.
- The edition is allegedly limited to 500 copies.
Further Editions
- A following repress from Germany has an orange A4 cover sheet.
- According to our information, this one was released around 1988/89.
- The vinyls are black with yellow/black labels.
