The Sisters' once record company ...

In late 1983, following the success of the Temple Of Love single, major record companies found interest in contracting The Sisters of Mercy.

In early 1984, the band finally signed a contract with WEA. The Sisters' own label Merciful Release opened an office in London and also

founded their own publishing company "Candelmaesse Limited", who licensed their future song material to RCA Records, RCA Music Limited.

By that time, Ben Gunn left the band and towards the end of 1983 he was replaced with Wayne Hussey.

The first single released with WEA was Body And Soul on 4 June 1984, followed by the singles Walk Away, No Time To Cry,

and the according first studio album First And Last And Always.
