Help:Editing
First off, if you stumble across a link that says
- You've followed a link to a page that doesn't exist yet. To create the page, start typing in the box below (see the help page for more info). If you are here by mistake, just click your browser's back button.
Then don't assume there's no page. Capitalisation of page titles has been somewhat non-standard, so search for the page you think it should link to.
Say if you follow a link like this First and last and always
- There might not be a page there, but there is one at First And Last And Always
- So edit the link you follow like this:
#Redirect[[First And Last And Always]]
That way we'll avoid duplicated content.
See here for further instructions on the syntax of the wiki mark-up language.
Furthermore don't put a summary of what you've done in the main page of an article; that's what the Summary: box is for. (Below the main editing window.) You can brag about your edits (if you must) on the talk page of a particular article. (The discussion tab at the top of each page.)
If you sign up you can even put your user-name and date-stamp in (on talk pages) using this wiki-markup shorthand: ~~~~
