Hellfest - France

The first time ever that The Sisters of Mercy play a festival gig in France!!!
HELLFEST is a mega three-day rock, metal and punk festival with six different stages.
The Sisters of Mercy are scheduled for DAY 2 on the Temple Stage.

A first run of ticket sales is already through. Three-day tickets are no longer
available and sold out within two hours. However, according to the organisers
one-day ticket sales will be announced in 2019. Be quick then ...

According to their website, Doctor Music Festival is Spain's most legendary festival ever.
After 1996-2000, the 2019 Reincarnation Edition of the so called "Spanish Woodstock"
once again offers an enormous number of bands packed into "4 days of music, friendship
and nature, designed to enrich your mind, satisfy your body and uplift your soul".
The Sisters of Mercy have been announced on the festival's official line-up page (scroll).
It is not known as yet, however, on which day The Sisters will actually appear.

Wacken Open Air Festival - Germany

This is the first time ever, The Sisters of Mercy play Wacken Open Air.
The festival allegedly sold out already before The Sisters' appearance
was announced. Really? - No.
There are lots of chances to find a ticket !!!
Wacken organisers have outsourced ticket sales partly to officially contracted
travel agents, who might even get you a bus, train or flight to the festival from
your country and also sort out a hotel or campsite for you, including the
necessary shuttle service to the festival grounds!!!

and chose the best travel partner from your country.
For the UK, this would be - for example - Argon Events;
there are, however, travel partners from all over the world.
Beyond that, there is always the Wacken Community.
They operate a forum in English language as well, where you might try to find a ticket from people unfortunately not able to attend ... ;-)) ...

Picture On Festival, Austria

Since 2000, Picture On has taken place in Austrian Bildein (Burgenland) each year since 2000. The two-day festival
is deliberately kept familiar and allows for an audience of 2,500 visitors, only. By tradition it presents a remarkable
mixture of musical styles reaching this year from rock to crossover, dub, hip-hop, drum'n bass to electronic pop,
indie, vernacular rock and various further exciting experiments fully confirming the organisers' motto:
' We love musical diversity.'
The Sisters of Mercy (and a series of other slots) have been confirmed on the festival website, which is available
only in German language (just like their FB page), unfortunately. Beyond that, the first run of festival tickets was
sold in November already. The second and final(!) batch is going on sale
from 22nd February 2019, 9.00 am !!!

The concert has just been announced on the organisers' website
and The Sisters of Mercy are the only band announced so far.

Ticket sales have already started and tickets can be pre-ordered from this link.
On the following Saturday, a further open air event named Elbriot Festival 2019
takes place in the same location. Kombitickets for both events are available.
Entrance at HAMMABURG FEST from 5pm.

The long-awaited Sisters biography written by Mark Andrews is in its final stages for release in the form of a pledge campaign.
Paint My Name In Black And Gold
The book concentrates on the first five years of The Sisters of Mercy and will be published by Unbound. It will also be available in ebook format.

Paint My Name In Black And Gold is the story of the first five years of The Sisters of Mercy.
In that time The Sisters rose from being local heroes in Leeds, to one of the premier alternative bands in the UK and Europe, before blowing apart on the verge of major rock stardom. Their path was strewn with brilliant singles, exceptional EPs, extraordinary album tracks and legendary live shows...
To make the book happen, Sisters fans and the Sisters-curious need to pledge. There are different ways to do that. When the minimum amount of advance funding reaches the magic “100%”, the result will be a beautiful book charting the first five years of the band. So I really need your help to share The Sisters’ story. When you pledge, your name will be printed in the book and there are all sorts of rewards for you to enjoy too.
If we don’t reach that level, the reality is that there will be no book.
So there's plenty reason you really shouldn't miss this wonderful project!!!
