Chris May, better known as Chris Catalyst aka Robochrist was recruited
as The Sisters' second guitarist for the 2005 tour and has since been a steady
member of the band.
Before that, he had been kicking about Leeds' music scene for several years.
Given the incestuous nature of said scene, it can hardly be surprising that
someone who had worked at Joseph's Well, the notorious scene of 1997's
Near Meth Experience gig, has joined The Sisters of Mercy.
Chris also worked with Adam Pearson at Adam's studio in Headingley, Leeds.
Together they played a one-off gig by The Elvis Presleys From Hell in 2005.
A video of this has recently surfaced on YouTube.
Apart from playing guitars with The Sisters, Chris is a member of the Eureka Machines.
Various promo videos about them exist, for example this one titled Chris Catalyst Cribs ...
In October 2012, the band launched a Pledge Music campaign for their third album,
Accordingly, their third album Remain In Hope was released on February 21rst, 2013.
The Eureka Machines are touring regularly. For further information about them and their
next coming gigs, please see the Eureka Machines official site or their page on facebook.
Most recently and as another part of their Remain In Hope pledge campaign, they've covered
- as a Thank You to all Pledgers and according to the individual pledge of one of their supporters -
the 1977 Bowie / Eno song Heroes and created a video of the track.
Watch it in the small window on the left, or straight at YouTube.
Chris Catalyst can also be found on formspring and Twitter....
The whole of Chris' musical activities is perfectly listed at Wikipedia...
