Originally, Heartland was not a forum on the internet
but a fanzine dedicated to The Sisters of Mercy
released in the more or less early days by Andrew J. Pinnell.
These fanzines were sent during the late 80's and 90's to the members of the Sisters of Mercy / Reptile House / Merciful Release fan clubs. The magazines consist of 80-96 pages each, filled with interviews, biographies, letters, notes, bootleg clarifications, images and tons of other Sisters of Mercy insight unavailable from any other source at the time. All editions were limited to 2,000 copies, the first of which were hand-numbered by Andrew Pinell himself.
The booklets were so good and well received, that with Issue No. 4 The Sisters of Mercy adopted Heartland as their officially approved fanzine in 1990 and reissued the Anthology of Issues I, II and III in 1992.
Since this page is still work in progress,
we recommend you read about the origin and developments
of Heartland in this lovely blog... .. ;-)
This page is Work in Progress and going to be extended as soon as ever possible |
