Wayne Hussey's and Craig Adams' version of The Sisterhood became The Mission after the name The Sisterhood was barred to them. (See The Sisterhood)
The name The Mission was also 'inspired' by Andrew Eldritch; a working title for the Sisters' second album was Left on Mission and Revenge.
Ironically, for their US releases the band were again forced to change their name (to The Mission UK)
Original Line-up
- Wayne Hussey: Vocals and guitar
- Craig Adams: Bass
- Simon Hinkler: Guitar
- Mick Brown: Drums
