Brixton Ace, London, England
To all likeliness, The Sisters of Mercy did NOT play Brixton Ace on June 21st, 1983 during their UK Spring Tour in 1983, even though there have been trading cassettes in circulation for many years which mention this date, but also the 19th as the source of the recording they feature.
One reason supporting this assumption is the newspaper announcement on the right side, which lists the concerts scheduled for Brixton Ace for the second half of June 1983, and also the flyer on the left. While the flyer doesn't mention the present date, the newspaper announcement notes a concert of Peter And The Test Tube Babies for thr 21st June 1983 under "Coming Soon".
The Sisters did play here on 29th June 1983 and since the setlist from that day is identical with the one given on many trading cassettes with recordings from an alleged gig on June 21st, some error in digits is more than likely.
Setlist
- as on various trading cassettes - identical with the one of June 29th
