This show was meant to be part of The Sisters' [[Summer 1998|Summer 1998 touring events]].<br/>

and was the second attempt of [[The Sisters of Mercy]] to play Japan ... <br/>

Unfortunately, the concerts for this day [[Tue, 08-Sep-1998|and the following]] had to be '''cancelled'''. <br/>

Rumours had it that the promoter was billing the band in their 1985 line-up and not aware of [[Band_History#The_Split_.281985-1986.29|The Split]]... <br/>

In fact, however, ticket presales were so low, that the whole thing was cancelled.<br/>

So, like in [[Sun, 26-Jan-1986]], the visit to Japan failed again ...<br/>

Anyway, [[The Sisters of Mercy]] did come to Japan fnally, for their <br/>

[[Gigography#Sisters XXX|30th Stage Anniversary Sisters XXX Tour]] in 2011 <br/>

and played [[Fri, 29-Jul-2011|at Fuji Rock 2011 Festival in Naeba Ski Resort]].<br/>
