American bass-player Patricia Morrison was one of the two founding members of the L.A. punk band The Bags (1976). In 1980, she left and joined Legal Weapon from where she then moved on to The Gun Club (1982). During their Spring Tour of the UK in 1983, The Sisters of Mercy shared the stage several times with The Gun Club for around a fortnight in April 1983. Andrew Eldritch and Patricia Morrison found to go on well with each other and decided to stay in contact.

The Split / The Sisterhood / Giving Ground single / Gift / member of The Sisters Of Mercy during the Floodland era.

Rumour has it that she did, in fact, not play on the record, while Andrew Eldritch is reported to have said that "the only time she picked up a guitar was to film the videos." (Which just cannot be quite true, however.)

Anyway, some discussions on Patricia Morrison and her whereabouts following such and other allusions can be found here on the Heartland Forums, or here as to her (as well as other peoples') contributions to the Floodland album.

After her departure from The Sisters of Mercy in 1989, Patricia Morrison released a solo-CD titled Reflect On This in 1994.

In 1996, she became the long-term bassist of The Damned.
