In Summer 2016, The Sisters of Mercy headlined Day One of the two-day M'era Luna Festival in Hildesheim, Germany for the fifth time.

Other acts on that day included The Cassandra Complex, Oomph!, Diary of Dreams, Die Krupps and VNV Nation.
