Before he met Andrew Eldritch and before the two of them decided

to form The Sisters of Mercy (in order to have their songs played on the radio)

Gary Marx was the singer and lyricist of the Leeds-based band Naked Voices.

The Naked Voices played a few gigs during the later 1970ies.

One of these gigs was at the Brannigans' Fan Club XMas Party (F-Club) on 20 December 1979,

where they shared the stage with eight other local acts such as the Expelaires and Abrasive Wheels.

In June 1979, a small number of demo-tapes, recorded at Ric Rac Studio, Leeds, were produced as well.

These demo-tapes feature four tracks. Decades later one of the cassettes surfaced in an online auction,

accompanied by some blue A4 paper sheets with the four complete lyrics.

This page is Work in Progress and going to be extended as soon as ever possible
