'''Remarks'''

'''Remarks'''
* This version comes on black vinyl with white ''Shelter Records'' labels.
+
* Apart from the coverart, this version is very similar to the first edition, and has the same catalogue# and barcode, but was released a year later.
 +

 +
* This edition also comes on black vinyl with b/w ''Shelter Records'' labels. As in the picture here on the right, one copy with different white labels has surfaced, but it is not varified whether the record in the picture is really from this bootleg.
 +

 +
* Also, this edition seems to have been repressed with different colours on the coverart. Especially the backcover appears to come in a very high-contrast second version as well (see pictures left and right). Anyway, it is not ultimately clarified, whether these differences in colour are only due to the quality of the photos or whether reprints of this version really exist.

* The backcover gives the song durations in a line
+
* The cover front shows three angels on deep blue or black background in a thick yellow frame with green print.
: below the tracklist of each side of the record

* Further back cover notes:
+
* The backcover is all toned in purple. The upper half shows a photographic negative of roses also fully toned in purple. Below is the band name and bootleg title followed by the tracklist of each side. The song durations are given in one line under the tracklist of the according side.
 +

 +
* [[The Damage Done (song)|Damage Done]] is misspelled as "Demage Done" on the cover and labels.
 +

 +
* [[Knockin' On Heaven's Door (song)|Knockin' On Heaven's Door]] is written "Knocking On Heaven's Door" on the cover and labels.

I Can't Await To Meet My Deadly Friends - 1st Edition (front)
I Can't Await To Meet My Deadly Friends - 2nd Edition (front)
I Can't Await To See My Deadly Friends - 3rd Edition (front)

A vinyl LP from the 1980ies released in three covers editions, the latter of which in at least six different pressings (vinyl colours). The bootleg features selected live tracks from two concerts by The Sisters of Mercy in Bremen, one from November 1984 and the other one from May 1985, and the two main songs from The Sisters of Mercy's first single The Damage Done as opening tracks. All three versions share the same tracklist and title, while the covers look entirely different and might give rise to the impression of completely different releases. However, the unlike designs on front of the covers have one detail in common: all the pictures show a religous motive.

Remarks

  • All editions name the band as "Sisters of Mercy", omitting the article.
  • The content is the same as on record two of the 2LP bootleg Kings And Queen.
When Doktor Avalanche starts the main song, a shout from the audience can be heard: "We will, we will rock you".
As the rhythm is very similar to the according Queen song, this has an amusing effect.

Sources

They appear in reversed order on the records, but not in the cover track lists.
Burn and Ghostrider / Sister Ray were recorded live on 8 November 1984;
Logic, Fix / Knockin' On Heaven's Door, Gimme Shelter, Train and Emma were recorded live on 10 May 1985.

First Edition

Release Notes

  • Label: Shelter Records
  • Catalogue#: LP 0398, MC 0564 (hinting at the idea that a music cassette would exist as well)
  • Format: 12" vinyl LP
  • Barcode: 4 008535 034473 / Run-out Grooves: SIS
  • Released: 1985

Remarks

  • Black 180-220 gram vinyls, manufactured in Germany
  • b/w Shelter Records labels
Other sources (scroll) maintain, that first pressings of this edition had come with yellow and red labels, most likely simply confusing the cover colours of the first and second edition with the labels of the first one.
  • On the front cover is a drawing of a crucified person.
  • The back cover shows an X-ray picture of a head and a large necklace around its shoulders coming with the caption:
Golden lads and girls all must,
As chimney-sweepers, come to dust.
Shakespear, Cymbeline, 4. Akt 2. Szene
  • The running times of the songs are noted after each track on the backcover.
  • Further backcover notes:
TAKK HASSE OG MARIT (Nor.: Thanks to Hasse and Marit)
FOR THE FIRST TIME UNBROKEN I AM RETURNED
PRODUCED BY THOMAS JEROME NEWTON AND BAAL FOR BROKEN HOPES PROJECT
  • NOTE: Thomas Jerome Newton and Baal are regularly credited as producers by Shelter Records, both referring to characters impersonated by David Bowie as performer in:
a) The Man Who Fell To Earth (as Thomas Jerome Newton) in a movie directed by Nicolas Roeg and
b) a BBC 1982 TV production of Baal (as Baal), a play by German modernist playwright Bertholt Brecht

Second Edition
Release Notes

  • Label: Shelter Records
  • Catalogue#: LP 0398, MC 0564
  • Barcode: 4 008535 034473 / Run-out Grooves: SIS
  • Released: 1986

Remarks

  • Apart from the coverart, this version is very similar to the first edition, and has the same catalogue# and barcode, but was released a year later.
  • This edition also comes on black vinyl with b/w Shelter Records labels. As in the picture here on the right, one copy with different white labels has surfaced, but it is not varified whether the record in the picture is really from this bootleg.
  • Also, this edition seems to have been repressed with different colours on the coverart. Especially the backcover appears to come in a very high-contrast second version as well (see pictures left and right). Anyway, it is not ultimately clarified, whether these differences in colour are only due to the quality of the photos or whether reprints of this version really exist.
  • The cover front shows three angels on deep blue or black background in a thick yellow frame with green print.
  • The backcover is all toned in purple. The upper half shows a photographic negative of roses also fully toned in purple. Below is the band name and bootleg title followed by the tracklist of each side. The song durations are given in one line under the tracklist of the according side.
  • Damage Done is misspelled as "Demage Done" on the cover and labels.
  • Further back cover notes (similar to first edition):
TAKK HASSE OG MARIT (Nor.: Thanks to Hasse and Marit)
For the first time unbroken I am returned

Third Edition Cover (back)
Third Edition - Label (Side B)

Remarks

  • This edition has no barcode.
  • The running times of the songs are not mentioned the cover.
  • Back cover notes:
WARNING: All Rights of the producer and the owner of the recorded work reserved. Unauthorized copying, public performance, broadcasting, hiring or rental of this recording prohibited.
* quite a joke given the fact that this is a third re-issue
without any information on label, catalogue#, etc...
  • Ghostrider and Sister Ray are listed separately in the tracklist on the cover back, not as a medley, and ascribed wrongly to Bremen 1985.
  • In addition, the title of the bootleg on the labels ends abruply:
I CANT AWAIT TO SEE MY DEADL...

Various Pressings

  • This edition was pressed on vinyls of many different colours.
Vinyl colours that have been seen so far are:
clear, black, red-brown, brown marbled, clear splattered with pink (or red), clear red splattered with a bit of blue, splattered clear-orange, and green.
  • Colours that allegedly also exist, while we have not yet traced a picture of them, are pink, and white.
Possibly, it's just a matter of verbally describing colours ...
