January and February 1998 saw The Sisters of Mercy touring 18 venues from Europe to the US and Canada ending with two sequent

nights at The Forum, London, UK. The European leg of this tour included a free concert at Ancienne Belgique in Brussels, Belgium.

From there, the band would return to the US for their first short tour after the events of 1991 after a first check at Dark Harvest Festival

in Philadelphia the year before.

We Are The Same, Susanne, Romeo Down and Will I Dream? were given their first performance in Erlangen and Munich, respectively.

Support acts during the European and UK gigs were Think About Mutation (not in Belgium and the UK) and Scoda Blush,

while most US and Canada gigs went without a support act.

For details on setlists, audience recordings and stuff see the links below to the according pages for each gig in the Tour Schedule.

For more information about the tour as a whole , and also various circumstances around individual gigs, we recommend

you check the wonderful Sisters Tours/Event Horizon 1998 pages.

Some interesting statistical facts of this tour can also be found at The Sisters of Mercy Database v0.5 Beta/Event Horizon.

Band / Line-up

  • Apparently, nurse duties during this tour were exercised by Mike Hall and Simon Denbigh.
While Mike Hall was officially booked, it seems that Si Denbigh stepped in for some gigs.
It is, however, not 100% clear, at which point or whether at all this happened.
